Revenue Generation: Gombe State Government Establishes Commodity Depots and Exchange Centre (COMDEC)

The Gombe State Government has established the Commodity Depots and Exchange Centre (COMDEC)  headed by a Special Adviser on Commodity to Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, Hon Musa Yahaya Umar. The centre is to among other things:

1. Takeover over the regulation,  supervision and Management of Commodity trade,  Depots and Markets in the State

2. Generate,  establish and manage database on Commodity trade activities in the State

3. Collaborate with  relevant authorities and Stake holders in the public and private sector

- Facilitating the upgrading and modernisation of the sector.

- Explore all development financing windows for the purpose of stimulating the sector.

- Serve as a link between our merchants and the International world.

All facility such as Vehicle,  office accommodation, etc for the purpose of immedite taking up of the programme were released to the  Chairman of the Committee.
